After reviewing What is Web 2.0, it was quite shocking to discover how limited classrooms were in the past. I am excited to know that changes are on the way, but now im not sure if i am prepared enough for the changes. In my opinion, web 2.0 means incoroprating new technology in the classroom to make it more convient for students to on- the go as well as parent and the school systems. This means in the future for the schools and teachers that these individuals would have to be more equiped to relate with students using technology, and these individuals would have at least have the some type of experiences as to how to operate technology tools. The more technology thrives and grow the more prepared teachers have to become with being familiar with technology.
From the Web 2.0 A guide for educators, according to Mclester " No one would dispute today internet has become a pervasive influence on the daily live of citizens". I agree with this whole- heartly. Technology seems to be the thriving and individuals are feeling the need to understand how to become apart of the lastest technology. This means that for future students who are going to already have experience with how technology operates. As a result, teachers are going to need to become mor knowledgeable about how technology works.

Thing 4: Commenting on other blogs
Having others commenting on your blog to see what other type of opinions are out there besides the individual who posted. With this feedback the author is then able to see some suggestions about that particular topic. This create a sense of interactions such as having a face to face conversation, just without the physical presence of seeing someone else face. Reading the 10 techniques to get more comments on your blog, i found two important things i thought were very important. One of the findings from the readings, gave a tip to be open ended to never say everything that needed to be said. I felt this was very useful, because if an individual feel that everything is stated he or she would not feel his or her opinions would be valuable to the post. Another finding from the reading of your comments stated that make a comment heart-felt to others postings. This helped alot because people are able to tell if you mean something or not.
I chose the Your Comments and 10 Techniques to get more comments on your blog readings to do this assignment on. I decided to chose these two readings because of the information and tip each article gave. They both were very insightful.
I chose the following individuals' blogs Miranda's 23 things, Taylor Bumpus, Vanessagreen, Elizabeth Paige and Jessica Stewart. I chose Miranda's blog because her blog was more relaxed with the wording and the her feelings seemed easy to related to. Taylor Bumpus's blog was chosen because i like his cool avatar, really eye catching. Vanessagreen's blog was chosen because i liked how she listed the 7 and 1/2 habits of Lifelong Learners on her post to refer back to. Elizabeth Paige's blog was chosen because i like some of her ideas specifically how she is planning on using her blog in the future. Finally, Jessica Stewart's blog was chosen because of her ideas. All of these individual's received encouraging comments. I wanted first to start off by getting insight of the different individual's blogs.

Thing 3: Knowing and Applying
I am anticipating to see the results of using a blog in my future classroom. There are many ways to use this device but i would like to incorporate blogging in my future classroom by using it as a tool to see how my students feel about a particular subject taught on a weekly basic. This would help me to see the concept that some students are not grasping and other concepts that i could feel good about that every individual grasp. If the student explain on there blog for example there needs to be more hands on assignment, i would know to incorporate more assignments that involves hands-on experiences. This would also help to better the student to want to express how they would receive my teaching and it would help me to do my job better in making sure my students learn.
Thing 2 : New Experience
This assignment was truly a experience for me. First let me explain technology is not a area were i am a expert. When i was deciding to chose a title to call my blog i first tried on my own (not a great idea) and then i decide to Google some examples. I saw some names that were fun, others a little weird , but i knew i wanted others to be drawn to my blog paper but at the same time appropriate for education. That too me was a difficult task to master. The blogger names of my assignments just come as i go along with the actual assignments. The overall experience in creating the blog was fun and i learn a lot.
The part in choosing my avart was really enjoyable. I did not choose a avart that reflected me overall as an individual but just some features of how i might appear. When choosing the type of clothing and shoes things of that particular sort, it was hard to first to decide on what i wanted to chose and the type of clothing that reflected me as an individual. I decide to choose colors that i like and apply that to my personal avart.

Thing 1
For this assignment, i found several habits easy and others complicated. The easy habits for me to understand were habits 2: accept responsibility for your own learning and habit 5: create your own learning toolbox as well as habit 7 1\2: play. These are habit that i feel already have a good grasp on and applying it to my daily life now. The habit that i found more difficult were habit 1: being with the end in mind , this was confusing for me to even understand the concept behind this particular habit; as well as, habit 3: view problems as challenges. This specific habit is hard to maintain depending on the situations. Sometimes it is easy to keep a clear focus and positive attiude when you taking on something new and you see a situation not a problem but a challenge that you can get through, where at other times it much easier to lose that focus. The situation could be too difficult and the individual could really start seeing the situation as a problem instead of a challenge.
I would like to know more about how to use and apply technology with education and a college student. Personally, i have never created a blog and did not even understood the concept of what a blog consist of, until now. In my opinion, the steps in creating a blog was easy to follow.Thank goodness for instructions. I must point out i love the quote on page 29 as follow: "Even a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."
